Parent Teacher Interactive Session 2023 – Class 5
A first Parent Teacher Interactive session was held for the parents of class 5, on 08.06.2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the school AV room. The session began with the prayer song sung by the students of class 5 under the guidance of Mr. . Ms. Teresa Monteiro welcomed the Fr principal, Vice principals, parents and teachers. Subject teachers of class 5 introduced themselves to the parents. Ms. Suneetha K, the exam cell coordinator briefed the pattern of assessment for the academic year and highlighted the key features of assessment at Lourdes Central School. Vice principal and discipline in charge of the school, Ms. Anitha Thomas, explained the code of conduct regarding punctuality, discipline, uniform, school bags, grooming, footwear, ID, diary, birthday sweets and birthday fund. She also gave some important guidelines for the parents to follow.
Elections for the PTEC was conducted and the following parents volunteered to be the members of the silver jubilee PTEC.

Then the session was kept open for the queries. Fr Principal answered the queries of the parents regarding the holidays on secondand fourthSaturdays, safety rules and the traffic rules of the school, activities to occupy the students after the school hours, number of interactive sessions which will be held in the academic year etc. Vice Principal Ms. Belita Mascarenhas encouraged the parents to take the help of Academic Support Classes andguide the students to excel in academics. She also encouraged the parents to motivate the students to learn Kannada as it is the state language.
Principal Rev Fr Robert D’souza in his address thanked all the parents for their cooperation and participation in large number. He requested them to display professionalism and spread positivity about the school and the teachers who in turn would help in the qualitative growth of the students. He gave some important tips to the parents to send two Tiffin bags and enough water, to contribute for the smooth functioning of traffic in the morning by carpooling, using two wheelers, dropping the students early, following the traffic rules of entry and exit etc. He invited the parents for their active participation in the “LCS summit on 24.06.2023” and in all the activities of the silver jubilee year. The session came to an end with the words of gratitude by Ms. Vanita Ghoghare. Ms. Nishmitha Jewel Pinto compared the whole program. Active participation of 124 parents made the session a fruitful interactive session.
